Crane Certification Training
3 or 4-Day Written Prep, Tailored to Candidate Ability
This three day preparation session for the written NCCCO
Examination encompasses all domains for the Core Exam and up
to three Specialty Exams. Course includes intensive coverage
of load charts and associated issues, regulations,
definitions and rigging. Sample NCCCO exams and quizzes will
be administered and reviewed with Candidates.
1-Day Practical Prep/1-Day Testing
This two day preparation for the NCCCO Practical Examination
will instruct each Candidate with hands-on training using
the equipment handled on a day-to-day basis at the client’s
work site to ensure quality performance. The test site will
be set up at the client’s location and administered by the
ITS qualified instructor.

COURSE: Pendant Crane |
 |
Topics include: Pre-shift inspection, OSHA and CAL/OSHA
regulations, proper pendant crane operation, rigging
equipment, slings, pick point, sling angle factor, and
center of gravity. Classroom instruction will include exams and quizzes administered and
reviewed with Candidates throughout the course.

COURSE: Hydro Crane

COURSE: Supervisor
Awareness |
 |
Every Supervisor should be full educated in the proper use
of pertinent equipment used by their company to ensure the
safety of its operators, as well as meet the time element,
legal, regulations, and liability issues involved in each "task". In meeting this criteria, every
Supervisor will also prevent unforeseen injuries and
possible lawsuits, which, in turn, once again, addresses
time and financial considerations. This class is intended to
instruct supervisory personnel in the safe operation and
procedures of all mobile cranes, overhead cranes and rigging
according to General Industry Safety Orders, which include
ANSI B30.5 and B30.2 and CAL OSHA. The class will provide
the Supervisor with the knowledge and ability to survey a
job site situation for proper safety, equipment, and
knowledge of operator ability, as well as proper pre-shift
inspection and record keeping procedure. |

COURSE: Aerial Manlift
Topics include: Pre-shift inspection, required safety gear,
record keeping, emergency controls and procedures, traffic
control, set-up, operating hazards and safety features, load
capacities, and D-ring locations. Classroom instruction will
include exams and quizzes
administered and reviewed with Candidates throughout the
course.

COURSE: Forklift
Training |

This training session is designed to provide each Candidate
with the knowledge and skills needed to operate a forklift
in a safe and efficient manner and will include practical
hands-on training. Examinations will encompass both written
and practical.

COURSE: Backhoe
Topics include: Pre-shift inspection, proper grading of the
ditch, digging around utility services, production digging,
loading trucks, and changing of implements. Classroom
instruction will include exams
and quizzes administered and reviewed with Candidates
throughout the course.

Topics include: Pre-shift inspection, machine operation,
stock piling, grading, slot dozing, working with scrapers,
using rippers, and pioneer work. Classroom instruction will

COURSE: Loader
Topics include: Pre-shift inspection, machine operation,
stock piling, grading, truck loading and working in traffic.

working with graders, blue topping, reading stakes, proper
replacement of hubs, and working with multi-grade brakes.

COURSE:
"Rigger 1"
and "Rigger 2" (NCCCO)
Both sections (also referred to as "Rigger 1" and "Rigger
2") of this training course will consist of classroom
instruction, hands-on training and written examination. This
entire course is designed to teach each candidate to
identify the various types of rigging equipment and safe
rigging practices, and to provide a basic understanding of
the fundamentals of rigging and the ability to identify
potential, safety problems. The Advanced Rigging or "Rigger
2" section of this course is designed to train personnel in
the safe operation of rigging equipment utilizing a hands-on
environment.

COURSE: Signal Person
Training (NCCCO) |
 |
This training session is designed to train the student in
the use of signals for safe crane operation. Signaling is
vital to crane operation, but, unfortunately, is not often
treated with the importance it deserves. Each student will
receive the ETS Signal Person Training Course Student Guide.

OSHA
Compliance Courses Offered |
COURSE: Scaffolding,
Competent Person
The main objective for this particular course is to train
the Candidate in the safe erection and inspection of
scaffolding. Topics include: Federal, State and local
regulations, and general safety checks as required by 29CFR
1926. Classroom instruction will include exams and quizzes administered and reviewed with
Candidates throughout the course.
Course enrollment is limited to 15 Candidates per class.

COURSE: Scaffolding,
User
This course will provide scaffolding users with the
regulations, safety guidelines and procedures needed to
recognize the hazards of the use of frame, rolling tower,
tube and clamp, and system scaffolding. Instruction
satisfies OSHA’s training requirements as defined in 29 CFR
1926.454. Classroom subject matter will include exams and quizzes administered and reviewed
with Candidates throughout the course.

COURSE: Respiratory Protection and Fit Testing
The objective of this course is to provide each Candidate
with the information needed to fulfill Federal, State, local
and company policies pertaining to the proper use, care and
maintenance of required respiratory equipment. Exams and
quizzes are administered and reviewed with each Candidate
throughout the course.

COURSE: Personal
Protective Equipment
The objective of this particular course study is to provide
the Candidate with the knowledge and skills needed to
select, use, and maintain proper personal protective
equipment for specific jobs. The course will include the
selection and use of PPE for head, eye, hand and arm, leg
and foot, and hearing protection. Classroom instruction will
include exams and quizzes
administered and reviewed with Candidates throughout the
course.

COURSE: Injury and
Illness Prevention Program
This course will inform Candidates of Federal, State and
local policies pertaining to the requirement for the
employer to provide a safe and healthy place of employment.
Instruction will encompass SB-198 IIPP and all other
regulations, as well as company
policies for safety, training and documentation. Classroom
instruction will include exams
and quizzes administered and reviewed with Candidates
throughout the course.
